Welcome back to the most anticipated sports blogging segment of this NFL season (it has only been a thing for 2 weeks). After 2 weeks of this segment, we are 6-0 (6-1 if you count my play I gave during another blog). 6-0 or 6-1 that is still pretty good so get on the train now. I told you after my first week to get on and if you didn’t you missed out. Another sweep of a week. Week 10 we are coming for you.
1. New Orleans Saints at Buffalo Bills (+3)
I’m going to be honest. This is a tough week. A lot of big spreads and a lot of close calls. However, this is one that I like a lot. First things first, the Bills have not lost at home this year. Buffalo has a great home field advantage and if I am getting points as the home team in Buffalo that is something I like regardless who they am playing. Yeah, I know the Saints have been unbelievable this year and have won 6 straight. Let’s be real though, the talent on this defense is nothing crazy and they are overachieving a lot (this is to take nothing away from them). BIG BETTING TIP coming up that will be a reason for my pick. When you are looking at a road favorite, flip the points 6 points in the other direction and that is what the spread would be if they were the home team (3 for neutral field and 3 for home field). This is especially true with both of these teams that have big home field advantages. Saints -9…that’s a lot of points against this Bills defense. I’ll take the 3 points at home with the Bills as the Bills avenge their embarrassing primetime Thursday night loss to the Jets.
2. Cincinnati Bengals at Tennessee Titans (-4.5)
Here is something I have been doing and will continue to do. FADE THE BENGALS. Andy Dalton STINKS. They all STINK. The Titans on the other hand have been playing a lot better winning 3 in a row and seem to be in the driver’s seat for the AFC South crown after the Deshaun Watson injury. Every week that goes by is one more week that Marcus Mariota is getting healthier from his leg injury which is something the Titans need. Mariota needs his legs and the more he has them the better the Titans will be. To me, this is just an easy pick. I will continue to fade this horrid Bengals team until they prove me wrong. 4 and a half isn’t that many points in a game I think the Titans win in commanding fashion. I will lay the 4.5, gimme the Titans.
3. New England Patriots (-7.5) at Denver Broncos
As I continue to fade the Bengals, I will be riding the Patriots. The Patriots have really turned a corner and Bill will have them prepared coming out of a bye. The Broncos on the other hand are turning into an absolute dumpster fire. Brock Osweiler is their quarterback. “Wait THAT Brock Osweiler”. Yup, that one. The one who absolutely stinks at football. The Broncos just got embarrassed by the Eagles (fuck the birds) and I can’t see anyway that this team can do much better against Tom Terrific on primetime. Yeah 7 and a half is a lot to lay on the road but not when it’s Tom Brady vs. Brock Osweiler. I’ll lay 7.5 and take the Patriots.
Look if you faded me the past few weeks it has come right back to bite you in the arse. Don’t make the mistake again. Let’s have a week.
