Sad. Hue Jackson has a history of being battered and abused by his organizations and yet he chooses to head to the wasteland of the NFL. Was in Oakland where he enjoyed enormous success relative to Oaklands recent history, but got the boot. Got totally betrayed by the health and temper of his team en route to several bitter playoff losses in Cincinnati. People still recognized his talent as a football mind, and that led to an offer from one of the, if not THE, regal franchises of football. Let’s quickly compare and contrast Cleveland vs New York.
Cleveland has no football success whatsoever in the last billion years. They went through football hell thanks to Art Modell, were reborn and probably should just die again. You go through quarterbacks like a box of pampers, and none of them are any good. The list of starting QB for Cleveland since 2004 is probably too high of a number to properly quantify, whilst in New York you know who is always going to be taking the snaps: a future HOF. How about head coaches? The Giants have had five since 1986, the Browns now have their 8th since 2004. Good luck Hue, make sure you polish that resume by 2018.
Jackson must have an addiction to the abuse. That is the only way to explain it. He’s going back to a poor franchise with promises it will be different this time. Over/Under is 2.5 years. I will personally guarantee that the Giants have more wins in any given year of Jackson’s tenure than he will have in his entire tenure as the Head Coach of the Cleveland Browns.
God I am so bitter.
Is there something going on in Giant land that I’m not being told about on Twitter? I thought this was supposed to be the hot job, you know the one with the stable owners and franchise quarterback.
Cleveland is the zit-faced dork who the newly single girl in high school spurned Mr. Everything for. I don’t know how to deal with it. I’m not mad he didn’t choose us, I’m mad he didn’t even come to our interview. Just stood us up completely.
Giants brass waiting for Hue Jackson to come like…
